Orchestra academy for historical performance practice
as part of the Internationale Barocktage Stift MelkThe Internationale Barocktage Stift Melk 2026 once again offer talented young musicians the opportunity to become part of the baroque orchestra Academia Mellicensis and to immerse themselves deeply in the world of historical performance practice.
During a multi-day rehearsal phase, participants will work with renowned musicians from Concentus Musicus Wien under the direction of Stefan Gottfried. The focus lies on stylistic precision, historically informed performance, and making music together at the highest level. The grand finale will be a concert in the Abbey Church of Melk as part of the Internationale Barocktage – a special moment where dedication, artistic growth, and musical excellence come together.
