It’s in the nature of human beings to lend expression to the elemental stirrings of their souls in art – whether that’s grief, hope or joy. Dorothea Seel’s programme tackles these innermost feelings, and on this Saturday morning it will guide you through the wide expanses of the human soul. She brings with her an ensemble that created great excitement among the Melk audience back in 2019 as the Barocksolisten München. Since then it has changed its name to the Ensemble Suono d’Oro and once again promises a lively and tactile interpretation of baroque works. Another guest will be the soprano Shir Patchornik, the brilliant winner of the Cesti Competition at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik. As part of a cooperation between the two festivals, the prize-winning artist will make her International Baroque Festival debut.
Works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Johann Adolf Hasse, George Frideric Handel, Georg Philipp Telemann, Antonio Vivaldi
